So here it is, the final we have all been dreaming of. Man United and Chelsea. We wouldn't know which to team to predict would win this match and as we support Torquay United, there is little chance of us ever getting there. However at the Uzhniki Stadium in Moscow on the 21st May 2008 there will be a game of football to go down in the Annals of European Football.

There has been an all-Spanish final and an all-Italian final, and now there will be an all-English final of the great tournament. Manchester United's victory over Barcelona on ensured that the only clubs booking flights to Moscow for the final on May 21 will be English, with Chelsea beating Liverpool and so set to join them at this exotic destination.

Though it is the first time Manchester United have reached the final since the most recent of their two European Cup triumphs, in 1999, Liverpool won their fifth European Cup in 2005 and were also runners-up last year. Perhaps now its Chelsea's turn.

Moscow Football

Don't forget Moscow also has a rich football heritage: FC Spartak Moscow one of the Moscow football clubs. They are nicknamed "Meat" because in Soviet era the club was owned by the Collective Production Farms (the kolkhoz and the sovkhoz). Spartak have won 12 Soviet championships (second only to Dynamo Kyiv) and 9 of 14 Russian championships. They have also won the Soviet Cup 10 times and the Russian Cup 3 times. Dynamo Moscow (Dinamo Moscow, Dinamo Moskva, Russian: Динамо Москва) is another premier league team. They play in the Dynamo Stadium and wear blue and white strips. During the Soviet era it was affiliated with the MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs - The Soviet Militia & the K.G.B.) It was founded as a factory team in 1887 by Englishman Clement Charnock. The team was re-named OKS Moskva in 1906. Dinamo's greatest achievement in Europe to this day was in the 1972 UEFA Cup Winners Cup. They got to the final at the Nou Camp in Barcelona where they lost to Scottish side Rangers 3-2. Plus the fact the referee blew for time 3 minutes early as the Rangers fans invaded the pitch. This was a Russian side's greatest achievement in Europe until CSKA Moscow won the 2005 UEFA Cup. See the official site or the fan site

Lokomotiv Moscow (FC Lokomotiv Moskva) is a Russian football club based in Moscow. During communist rule the club was owned by the Soviet Ministry of Transportation through the Russian Railways. It was founded in 1923 as Club of the October Revolution, was renamed to Kazanka (Moskovskaya-Kazanskaya Zh.D) in 1931, and eventually to Lokomotiv in 1936. Lokomotiv reached Cup Winners' Cup semifinals twice (in 1997/1998 and 1998/1999). The club also played in the 2nd group stage of the Champions league in 2002/2003 season and lost by the away goal in the Champions League last 16 tie against AS Monaco FC in 2004. Moscow: Nightlife Ideas

12,000,000 people live in and around Moscow and as you would expect has a glorious selection of places to enjoy yourself.

Bar or nightclubs often double up as restaurants and many also have bowling alleys, billiards clubs or casinos. This avoids traveling too far if you find a good one and avoids those expensive taxis!

So here's a good list for you:-

Propaganda, a friendly crowd of local students and foreign tourists fill this club on most nights.
Fabrique is a glamorous venue with foreign Dj's.
Mio's is where the cool people hang out!

Forte for Jazz or Le Club for the sophisticated version.

If you are looking for that extra something from your female (or even male company) then be careful, it can be expensive (credit cards taken)

Piramida and Nightflight are near Red Square and are famous for the rich businessmen and gorgeous girls; Good combination!
Then there is Dolls a good strip joints in the city.
The Hungry Duck has seen some very unique action in its time and is famous. Still going strong AND THE PLACE FOR FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS TO HAVE A WILD NIGHT OUT!
